6 Posting Tips (Quality & Formatting)
- Keep it concise—aim for ~300 words or less.
- Keep it clean—avoid unnecessary CAPS, underlines, colors.
- Use hyperlinks instead of long URLs or “see attachment”.
- Avoid pasting complex layouts (tables/charts) directly from Word/Google Docs; format it simply in the editor.
Make it scannable: short paragraphs, bullets, and clear calls-to-action help busy readers.
Time-bound posts: If your info expires, set a reminder to update or remove it after the date passes.
7 How to Add Links in the Editor
- Select the text you want to link (e.g., “Register here”).
- Click the Link button in the toolbar.
- Paste the full URL (e.g., a Form or SharePoint/OneDrive link) and confirm.
Good: “Apply here” linked to a short URL.
Avoid: Pasting the entire URL in the body text or saying “see attachment”.
8 FAQ & Troubleshooting
Use the editor’s Remove Format button, then re-apply basic styling. Avoid pasting complex tables or charts; simplify into bullet points or upload a linked document instead.
Posts appear on the Leaderboard site and are filtered by readers using your Grade Level and Audience tags, so set those accurately.
