As we approach the Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program (TCAP), Memphis-Shelby County Schools (MSCS) is committed to ensuring families feel informed, supported, and confident as they help students prepare for the upcoming testing period. In the weeks leading up to the testing window beginning April 13, families will receive weekly emails from our MSCS Academics and Communications teams with helpful tips, key reminders, and easy-to-use at-home resources designed to reinforce learning.
Across our schools, educators are intentionally reviewing essential skills, strengthening student understanding, and building the confidence students need to succeed. While that work continues in the classroom, families play an important role at home. Even small moments; like practicing a few problems, reading together, or encouraging a positive mindset; can make a meaningful difference.
This year, we are encouraging all students to Lock In. Level Up. to stay focused, put forth their best effort, and show what they’ve learned all year long.
To support your student at home, each weekly message will include targeted resources aligned to key subject areas. Check back each week for links to these resources:
These resources are designed to be simple, accessible, and effective—giving families practical ways to support learning without adding extra stress.
