Childcare Resources & Supports

Teacher and student.

We are thankful to all of our community partners who have heeded the call to share and align resources in support of our students and their families. As we prepare for the start of school, we know childcare will be an essential resource for families with essential workers.

Below is a list of community childcare sites available in the Shelby County area for families.

Businesses and organizations interested in becoming Emergency Childcare Providers and/or seeking a Remote Learning Exemption can find more information here.

Click here to register for full-day and before-/after-school childcare from the YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South. The YMCA and Shelby County Schools are partnering to provide childcare support at 70+ sites throughout Shelby County. This service is provided at no cost to essential workers. Support is provided before, after and during the virtual school day, along with meals and enrichment activities to keep kids engaged throughout the day. The virtual learning academies will run Monday - Friday, 6:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. Get complete details on the YMCA website.
