We’re getting ready to welcome students back on August 12, and several schools are hosting block parties to help create excitement and get families ready for a successful start to the new year. All the dates and details are included below – and don’t forget, the District’s annual Back to School Block Party is Saturday, August 10, at the Board of Education!

If you can’t make it to these events, don’t worry – Gear Up Day is Tuesday, August 6, at all schools from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. and 4 - 7 p.m. 

• Meet the principal, teachers & staff
• Get supply lists, dress code info, bus eligibility info & homeroom assignments
• Sign up for parent organizations & before-/after-care (if available)
• Get computer access or help with registration/updates

Raleigh-Frayser Community Block Party
Friday, August 2 @ Trezevant High | 5 – 7 p.m.
Free evening of family fun, including food, music, school supply giveaways, petting zoo, games & more. Plus – get help with new student registration, returning student updates and student transfers.

Cordova Community Block Party
Saturday August 3 @ Cordova Middle | 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
