Why: Carnes Elementary School staff members are partnering with community volunteers to spread the word about the 2013-14 school year. Teachers and community volunteers will go door-to-door to provide students’ families with free school supplies and school registration information. Representatives from the Memphis Police Department and the Shelby County Health Department will also be on site at the school to provide families with student safety tips and health information.
