SCS Students Win Big at SkillsUSA State Competion

High school students in our Career & Technical Education program recently showcased their skills and represented Shelby County Schools at the 2016 Tennessee SkillsUSA State Leaderships and Skills Conference. Nearly all of our high schools were represented in the statewide competition. In addition to earning top honors at the state-level, several first place finishers will represent the district at the 2016 SkillsUSA National Leadership Conference this summer.

Outstanding Chapter

Third Place - Rickiesha Hunt, Kamiyah Smith & Corlexia Jones - Trezevant HS

Second Place - Charles Wagner - Hamilton HS

Digital Cinema Production

First Place - James Ozment & Sergio Nunez - Cordova HS

Barbering

First Place - Eddy Hernandez - Trezevant HS

Second Place - Kelvin Oliver - Whitehaven HS

Third Place - Demetrious Williams - Sheffield HS

Motorcycle Service Technology

First Place - Sean Hopkins - Bolton HS

Third Place - Alessandro Arelloano - Kingsbury HS

Community Service
