While the numbers of COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Shelby County and across the state, Shelby County Schools (SCS) remains committed to the health and safety of our students.
Beginning Monday, September 20, SCS Nutrition Services will provide free meals to students who are in quarantine due to a positive COVID-19 test or are deemed a close contact of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
Parents or guardians of students in quarantine are eligible to receive one breakfast and one lunch meal each day during the quarantine period. Meals will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the child’s assigned school. The meals will be distributed through a no-contact drive-thru process at each location to prioritize safety.
To receive the meals, parents or guardians must provide the following student verification information:
- Student Name
- Student ID Number
- School Name
