WHAT IS INDUSTRY 4.0?
The Industry 4.0 Diploma Distinction is an accolade added to a qualifying student's high school transcript and diploma. This distinction (outlined in Tenn. Code Ann. § 49-6-420) enhances a path for students to pursue careers in high-need, high-skill industries after graduation.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
- At least nine (9) dual enrollment or work-based learning (WBL) credits aligned with students' career goals during their junior and senior years of high school.
- Receive monthly career coaching and counseling to better prepare students for their transition to the workforce.
- Students will have the option to substitute a WBL or dual enrollment course, as approved by the State Board of Education, for one math credit and one science credit.
