On December 19, ALSAC came to Georgian Hills Elementary to spread some holiday cheer. The entire school, from kindergarten to fifth grade, came together for a series of fun-filled activities that brought smiles to everyone’s faces. The volunteers from ALSAC organized indoor field games, where students raced and jumped, cheering each other on with boundless energy. In the library, younger students gathered for a cozy storytime, while older students competed in a lively game of holiday emoji bingo, bursting into laughter with every round.

The highlight of the day was the ornament-making station, where children crafted their own festive decorations using glitter, glue, and plenty of holiday cheer. The ornaments sparkled as brightly as the students’ faces, and the glitter seemed to fill the air, creating a magical atmosphere. The event was a whirlwind of excitement and connection, with the entire school coming together to celebrate the season.

This act of kindness not only brings smiles to the faces of students, but also reinforces the importance of community involvement and generosity during the holiday season. It’s moments like these that show how a collective effort can create lasting impact and build stronger, more connected communities. It is our community partnerships that make Memphis-Shelby County Schools stronger!
