“Students, Parents, and Visitors: Welcome to the Bon Lin Middle School Web Site. I am glad that you are visiting via the Web and I hope that this resource will provide you with details and information that proves to be useful. Bon Lin Middle is an exciting and challenging school that seeks to engage all students in a high-quality and project-based learning environment. Quality reading and writing are essential and our teachers use innovative means to incorporate these skills into their curriculum. The teachers are our key to success and are highly qualified and committed to excellence in their field. Bon Lin Middle is currently piloting several programs for the district. Those programs include a Spanish program that will enable students to obtain high school credit. We are also piloting the Positive Behavior Support Initiative in partnership with the RISE Project at the University of Memphis. Finally, we have teamed with the Southern Regional Education Board to implement the Making Middle Grades Work research into our core curriculum areas. I am excited about the potential these programs bring to the school and I know our students will reap the benefits. I encourage all families and students to take an active part in our school. Join the PTSA, help in the classrooms and with special projects, join an extracurricular club, and help make Bon Lin Middle a truly great school. Dr. Dyer”
