Welcome to the Office of Asset Management (OAM) webpage. Please review the various processes and links to get a basis understanding of our mission, purpose, and priorities as we strive to provide efficient and effective support for schools, students, teachers, and Central Office in support of "Reimaging 901."
OAM is responsible for ensuring the integrity of data processing procedures, controlling redundancy, evaluating data analysis, and updating Memphis-Shelby County Schools databases to include charter, non-public, and neglected and delinquent schools receiving federal funds.
OAM provides expertise in inventory management and facilitates accountability for District property. The accuracy of the data within the Inventory Management System is dependent on the promptness and accuracy of the information reported to the OAM. It is the responsibility of the campus/department administrator to account for fixed assets within their respective site in accordance with approved Inventory Management Procedures and Board Policy 3013.
OAM's mission is to ensure the fiscal integrity of Memphis-Shelby County Schools through the effective management of all Fixed Assets. OAM aims to provide prudent fiscal stewardship and maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date records of all Fixed Assets.
To ensure that schools have the necessary tools to improve student achievement by focusing on every student, in every classroom, every day to meet the District's goal: Reimaging 901.
