Science Fair

Dakota from 5-02 Wins 1st Place in the Science Fair for Grades 3-5!

Ms. Willis' Class Wins 1st Place in the K-2 Category

Other winners in the Science Fair include in the Grades 3-5 category are as follows: Dakota 1st place, Jose 2nd place, and 3rd place was a tie between Anya Harper, and Charlton & Skylar (group). In grades kk-2 category, Mrs. Willis' class wins 1st place, Ms. Kreitlin wins 2nd place, and Ms. Parrish's class came in 3rd place. Congratulations to all the winners, and thanks to all the participants for doing a fantastic job!

Willow Oaks was the host school for Read for the Record on October 19! This year’s book, Quackers by Liz Wong, is a wonderful story that follows a kitten who grows up believing he is a duck. Please go to https://www.jstart.org/read-for-the-record/ for more information.


Walking School Bus

Coaches Monroe and Powers organized our Walking School Bus. Studies show that fewer children are walking and biking to school, and more children are at risk of becoming overweight. A walking school bus is a group of children walking to school with one or more adults.

Students took a virtual field trip to Hispanic countries
