Summary of Shelby County Schools FY09 Title Programs

Title IA

Using the GRADE SPAN Grouping Model, these schools will be Title I School-wide Schools for FY09:

Northaven Elementary
Woodstock Middle
Millington Elementary
Millington High School
Lucy Elementary
E.A. Harrold Elementary
Highland Oaks Primary
Millington Middle

Title IIA

This Title area is allocated for the Professional Development of Teachers, Principals, Paraprofessionals, and other Administrators. All of these SCS employees are eligible to participate in activities funded by this Title area.

Title IID

This Title area is allocated for Enhancing Education through Technology. These funds are used to provide stipends to Teachers that are Technology Coaches in all of our schools.

Title IIIA

This Title area is allocated for the enhancement and support of our ESL Programming.

Title IVA

This Title area is allocated for support of our Drug-Free Schools and Communities efforts. We currently use these funds to employee 1 Social Worker in SCS. She provides programming focused on Drug-Free Schools and Communities.
