Student organizations shall generally be encouraged when they contribute to learning. Such organizations shall operate within the framework of the law, Board policy, administrative rules, and the parameters of the learning program. Their establishment and operation shall be facilitated in reasonable ways by system staff and through utilization of county resources.
The superintendent shall develop general guidelines for student organizations. Such guidelines shall require the assignment of at least one faculty advisor to each student organization.
The policy applies to on-campus organizations only. It is not intended to restrict the organization of students into groups which function apart from the school.
