The Board believes that personnel and materials appropriate to the needs of the curriculum must be available to each student and teacher. Available system resources shall be allocated to schools on an equitable basis, recognizing system policies and local school needs.
The Board further believes that:
To provide each student with optimum learning and achievement in each subject area, instructional facilities, equipment, and accommodations based on individual needs are necessary.
Personnel and resources should adhere to regulations of the Tennessee Department of Education and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
Support staff (professional and nonprofessional) assist the student and teacher with educational procedures, curriculum modifications, and accommodation for special needs.
Parents have the right to inspect, upon request, any instructional material used as part of the educational curriculum for the student.
