SCHOOL ADMISSIONS



The following immunizations are specified by the Commissioner of Health1and required by Shelby County Schools for school age children:
IMMUNIZATIONS NUMBER REQUIRED
  1. Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)

  1. Diphtheria - Tetanus - Pertussis (Whooping Cough)

  1. Poliomyelitis (Infantile Paralysis)

  1. Hepatitis B*
3

*Hepatitis B will be phased in beginning with kindergarten in the 1998-1999 school year and the 7th grade in the 2002-2003 school year.
