Transportation Procedures of Bartlett Elementary
The faculty and staff of Bartlett Elementary are deeply committed to providing a safe environment for your children. This is one of our highest priorities. It is our sincere desire to make the arrival and dismissal procedures safe, quick, and efficient for all.
Bartlett Elementary School's transportation plan was developed with the help of Shelby County School officials and the Bartlett Police Department. Please review this procedure carefully.
We would request that no student be checked out after 2:00. If it becomes necessary to check out a student after 2:15 p.m., school parking is allowed on the west side of the u-shaped driveway off of St. Elmo.
Buses
Only Shelby County School buses will be allowed in the front parking lot between the hours of 7:30 - 8:00 a.m. and between the hours of 2:15 - 3:10 p.m. Visitors arriving at school before 8:00 a.m. will be asked to park in the designated parking areas in the u-shaped drive on St. Elmo, and enter the school from the south entrance. The front entrance will be secured during the times listed above.
Special
Education Car riders
Special Education car riders will use the designated drop off / pickup area in the back parking lot located by the gym. Cars must have the required identification tag to be allowed on campus. ( ID provided by school.)
Car riders
Car riders will be dropped off in the u-shaped drive on St. Elmo.
Walkers/Bike
Riders 
Please refer to the traffic map for designated walking
and bicycle paths.
Additional Information
All teachers, staff, PTA board members, and SPED parents must have required identification in order to park in the faculty parking area. (ID provided by school.)
Y - Care students
Y-Care parents must drop students off before 7:30 a.m.
After 7:30 a.m., Y-Care students must be dropped off in the car rider lane.
We would request that no student be checked out after 2:15. If it becomes necessary to check out a student after 2:15 p.m., school parking is allowed on the west side of the u-shaped driveway off of St. Elmo.
