SPECIAL EDUCATION SERVICES



Shelby County Schools offers a wide range of services to meet the needs of students with disabilities. Eligible students from ages three through twenty-one are served in all schools. Resource programs are provided in every school, and programs are also available to serve students who need extended instructional time in a special education setting. Speech therapists, occupational therapists and physical therapists are available in all schools. Specialists are available to work with visually impaired, hearing impaired, and students with behavior problems.
