Athletics

Athletic teams at Houston High School strive to be on top, while maintaining a high-level of sportsmanship and dignity. Opportunities abound for students interested in being a part of the athletic program, with 9 male and 8 female sports offered. The soccer team, cross country, and cheerleading squads are recognized as being among the best in the nation. Cross Country has won State Titles 3 times in a row. Houston has received Best of the Preps awards in 1996, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. Things are only looking up, as another year gets underway.
