If you did not attend Tara Oaks, Collierville Elementary, Crosswind Elementary, or Collierville Middle School during the 2007-2008 school year, you must enroll for the 2008-2009 school year on registration day in August. Shelby County Schools, new student registration day is August 5, 2008.

Collierville Middle School will be pre - registering students for the 2008 - 2009 school year. CMS returning students and / or parents are NOT required to come to CMS on registration day. Parents of students coming from Tara Oaks and Collierville Elementary schools are NOT required to come to the CMS campus on registration day. This registration is for NEW STUDENTS ONLY. Each student will receive a phone call from the homeroom teacher to whom they have been assigned the week before school begins. At this time, students and their parents will be informed of the room number of the homeroom teacher, and bus transportation information if necessary.

On the first day of school, August 11, 2008, each student will be required to bring 2 PROOFS OF RESIDENCE to turn into the homeroom teacher. These 2 proofs must be the most recent MLGW bill, and a copy of your lease/contract on your home or apartment or your mortgage information.

SEND THIS INFORMATION TO SCHOOL WITH YOUR CHILD. IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE STUDENT AT CMS, PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT EACH CHILD HAS A COPY OF THIS INFORMATION TO TURN IN. PLEASE REMEMBER TO SAVE A COPY OF YOU JULY OR AUGUST MLGW BILL. YOUR CHILD WILL BE WITHDRAWN IF THESE PROOFS ARE NOT PROVIDED.
