The
Art Club is made up of a group of talented individuals who auditioned
for a spot in the Art Club. The club meets twice a month and focuses
on a variety of art experiences such as sculpture, painting, ceramics,
metal work, jewelry making, origami, weaving, drawing, painting
and more. This group is encouraged to produce works to be entered
in the various art competitions available to middle school students.
The Art Club will be taking field trips to museums and art exhibits
in the area as well as hosting guest artists. The Art Club sponsors
an annual Art Club dance each year to raise funds for art supplies.
We are looking forward to a great year with a great group of students.

Students
for Christ is a club committed to engaging the hearts and minds
of students through small group discussions, study of the Bible,
monthly fellowship meetings, and prayer. It is an interdenominational
Christian student organization where students can come together
with friends to share their faith through biblical principles and
lessons. It is an opportunity for Christian life skills to become
a part of the daily schedules of busy students. We are a group of
students seeking to embody the life-changing reality of Jesus Christ
and to share the good news of His love with others.

The
Dexter Middle School Student Council is composed of an exceptional
group of homeroom representatives who are nominated and elected
by their peers. Each representative must maintain honor roll grades
and good conduct in order to remain an active participant. Student
Council members demonstrate their leadership qualities by volunteering
their time during school and afterward for special events such as
homecoming and PTA meetings. Additionally, they sponsor many other
school-sponsored affairs. They earn money for their projects by
providing and serving the refreshments at all home basketball games.
This is a remarkable group of students who serve Dexter Middle School
in a variety of capacities.
