Principal: Mr. Mike Morrison On behalf of the faculty, administration, staff, and students, I would like to welcome you to the page for Houston Middle School. Assistant Principal: Mrs. Liz Dias Our mission involves all students achieving personal academic, social, and emotional growth and success. This can only be achieved through all of us working together. These middle school years go by very quickly. We would like these three short years at HMS to be filled with lifelong memories. We welcome your involvement and support!
Assistant Principal: Ms. Tammy Mason Ms. Mason graduated from Benton Central High School in Oxford, Indiana in 1982 and received a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Saint Joseph's College in Rensselaer, Indiana in 1986. She received her master's degree in Administration and Supervision from Memphis State University in 1993.
Ms. Mason has been with Shelby County Schools for 20 years. She taught fourth grade at Dogwood Elementary School for seven years and eighth grade at Houston Middle School for two years before becoming an assistant principal at Houston Middle. She has been our Assistant Principal for eleven years.
