Vision Statement

In collaboration with all stake holders, Houston Middle School envisions a more advanced technologically oriented curriculum that includes differentiated instruction to all learners. Houston Middle School further envisions a more active partnership with the business community to expand our resources to promote independent and lifelong learning.

 

 

Mission Statement

Houston Middle School's mission is to provide a safe and challenging learning environment that enables all students to achieve personal academic, social, and emotional growth and success.

 

OUR STAFF BELIEVES:

1. All students can learn and achieve.

2. Students learn in different ways.

3. Policies, curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices meet the educational needs of each student.

4. Encouraging students to set and achieve high goals increases their desire to succeed and fulfill their potential.

5. Students' learning is the shared responsibility of the administration, the teachers, the parents, the student, and the community.

6. Schools provide a safe and secure environment that promotes learning and a sense of well-being.

7. Students improve their academic and social performance through self-discipline, decision-making, and high expectations.

8. Students have the opportunity to continue to expand their technological skills and training.

9. Students build and enhance a positive self-image within a learning environment that provides age-appropriate challenges and opportunities.
