Shadowlawn Middle is one of
(14) middle schools in the Shelby County School System.
We have an enrollment of approximately
1200 students in grades six through eight.
Shadowlawn has 45 classroom teachers,
(1) librarian, (2) guidance counselors, instructors in fine arts, physical
education, Foreign Language and APEX. Also available are (5) full time
special education teachers. Our classrooms are technology equipped, and
our faculty and staff are encouraged to make fluent use of computer technology.
Along with the academic excellence
at our school, Shadowlawn offers many clubs and activities for our students.
Our Choir and Band programs, which consists of 6th-8th grade students,
have won several awards over the years. The Art Club, Black History Challenge,
Chess Club, Drama Club, Environmental Club, National Junior Beta Club,
National Junior Honor Society, Pep Club, Pride Club, Peer Mediators, Student
Advisory Council, Students for Christ, Science Olympiad, Technology Club,
The Newspaper staff, Yearbook staff, Girls and Boys Basketball Teams, Cheerleaders
and Dance Team are also available for our students to express their talents. |
