Libraries in Shelby County Schools
are served by professional certificated librarians, full or part-time
library assistants, and a full-time library supervisor. In addition
to the five inservice days mandated by the state, monthly meetings
are held for additional professional growth activities. Shelby County
Schools Librarians have the opportunity to join local and national
professional organizations, such as American Library Association,
American Association of School Librarians, Tennessee Library
Association, and Tennessee Association of School Librarians.
