Entertainment Editor directives:
Congratulations! You are the new Entertainment Editor for this newly coined newspaper! Well, lets face it, even during the Renaissance, the people took a break to enjoy life. Your task is to write at least one article about some form of entertainment the people enjoyed. Additionally, you will create a puzzle and write and advise column.
To help you write an article and create a puzzle, here are a couple of sites to look at. Remember, everything you write is fictitious. Therefore, you can be as far-fetched as you think the reader can handle. Also, you may take different "slants" for different situations. For example, a society column might be very tongue-in-cheek, and an advice column might have a real "helpful" twist.

For your puzzle, use vocal words or other pieces of information which can be learned by reading the team newspaper. Avoid obscure facts and references. Stay on the topics of Poe, the Italian Renaissance, catacombs and perhaps Mardi Gras. This will make your puzzle easier to solve. After you print out the puzzle and the answers to the puzzle, make sure you give it to the teacher to reduce the size on a copier as needed for the column format of your newspaper.

Finally, if you have extra time, create an ad or classified notice which may be placed in the newspaper. Remember to always be consistent with the chosen theme.
