COVID-19 Protocols

Students and staff should stay home if not feeling well.
Temperature checks are required for all employees, students, and visitors.

MASKS:

Students and school-based staff are required to wear masks indoors (in schools and wherever children are present), regardless of vaccination status.
Mask-wearing is mandatory on buses.
Employees are strongly encouraged to wear masks in administrative offices and required to wear masks in schools and wherever children are present.

SOCIAL DISTANCING:

Students will socially distance to the extent possible in classrooms, hallways, common spaces, when moving through the food service line, and while eating.
Sharing of school supplies and other materials will be discouraged.
Schools will use a safe room for those exhibiting symptoms of illness.

WATER:

Bottled water will be provided, and students are strongly encouraged to bring water containers.

CLEANING PROTOCOL:

Staff and students are encouraged to wash hands for 20 seconds minimum and use hand sanitizer.
All schools will be provided PPE, as needed.
All areas will be cleaned and disinfected daily.
The District will use sneeze guards and barriers.

PARENT MEETINGS:

Regular parent in-person meetings will resume, and participants will follow District COVID-19 guidance.
Appointments are recommended.

PLAYGROUNDS/RECESS:

Playgrounds will reopen for students with social distancing to the extent possible.
Outdoor recess and playground equipment will be cleaned and disinfected daily.
Students will be encouraged to wash or sanitize their hands before and after using playground equipment.

FIELD TRIPS/ACTIVITIES

Normal District-approved practices and processes relating to field trips will resume.
School activities (before, during, and after school) for employees and students including athletics) will resume.
Participants will follow District COVID-19 guidance.

Transportation and Find My Bus

Transportation will be provided for all eligible students. View eligibility details here.
Bus stop information will be available beginning Aug. 2. Find your child's closest bus stop here.
Students should arrive to their bus stop on time and with a mask every day. Students are required to wear masks on buses.
Students should practice social distancing at their bus stops.
Seating charts will be used by bus drivers, and students will be required to sit in assigned seats.
Drivers will be screened and are required to wear masks every day.
Buses will be cleaned and disinfected twice daily between each route.
Hand sanitizer will be available on all buses.
Bus drivers will have a limited supply of additional masks for students if needed.

Student Meals

Breakfast and lunch will be served daily in schools.
Schools will provide details about daily meal plans, which may include a combination of grab-and-go meals, shorter periods, or lunch in the classroom.
Students will follow social distancing protocols when going through the meal serving line or eating.

COVID-19 Testing for Students

Test to Protect Our Schools is a free COVID-19 testing program for students made possible through a partnership with Poplar Healthcare.
Testing is available on-campus at each school on a bi-weekly basis.
Testing is optional, but participation is encouraged.
Parents/guardians can sign up using these forms:

Student Devices and Tech Support

Bring it on! Students should bring their headset, labeled charger and fully charged 1:1 device to school every day.

Gear up! Please be careful transporting devices to and from school. Devices should have a case and be transported in a padded backpack if possible.

Be careful! Students should avoid packing their device with water, other liquids, or food items that may spill or leak and potentially damage the device.

Pack light! Students should avoid placing heavy items on top of their device; this could potentially damage the device.
