Now Accepting Entries for the 2009-2010 Jaques Student Art Competition
The Shelby County
Schools Education Foundation is accepting artwork from middle and high
school students for the 2009-10 Jaques Student Art Competition.
Artwork
will be accepted through December 15, 2009. This annual competition
is designed to inspire and stimulate the world class talents of student
artists across Shelby County Schools. One winner will be chosen in
both the middle and high school categories. These students and their
art teachers will each receive a $200 award to further their interests
in art.

Every year,
an esteemed group of Shelby County Schools graduates are inducted into
the SCS Alumni Hall of Fame.
Hall of Fame inductees are celebrated
for significant contributions to society or their profession and outstanding
and impactful career achievements.
If you know of someone who is worthy
of this great honor this year, please submit a nomination form by November
1, 2009.
(Nominees must have graduated at least ten (10) years prior
to the Hall of Fame induction year.)
