Weekly Student Meal Distribution

Shelby County Schools is committed to making sure every student has access to healthy meals this school year. Families can visit their school every Thursday (1 - 5 p.m.) to get seven days worth of breakfast, lunch, supper and snacks. Food items will be prepared in school cafeterias and safely distributed in a drive-thru pick-up line. Parents who cannot pick up on Thursdays may get their meals on Fridays (7 – 9 a.m.).

NOTE: Weekly meal packs will be provided to all children under the age of 18 from SCS school sites during the designated hours, including non-SCS students.

Meal Request Forms are available at the school pick-up site. Be sure to have your child's Lunch ID Number ready. The form is available to download and fill out ahead of time here.

Join us now for National School Breakfast Week campaign that encourages students to try school breakfast March 8th -12th, 2021, breakfast may be served in cafeterias, classrooms or at home.

Busy weekday mornings make it a challenge for many families to find time for a healthy breakfast. Fortunately, Shelby County Schools offers nutritious school breakfasts, complete with fruit and low-fat or fat-free milk, to ensure students are fueled for learning every school day. The NSBW campaign theme, “Score Big with School Breakfast,” reminds the entire school community that school breakfast provides a healthy and energizing start to the day for students. Studies show that students who eat school breakfast are more likely to:

  • Reach higher levels of achievement in reading and math
  • Score higher on standardized tests
  • Have better concentration and memory
  • Be more alert
  • Maintain a healthy weight

School nutrition professionals and students will be encouraged to show their enthusiasm for school breakfast from March 8-12 as the district celebrates NSBW with special menus, activities, and more
