Shelby County Schools

Dear Parents and Friends:

As the Principal of Crump Elementary School, it is indeed my sincere pleasure and honor to become the leader of this great school.  Crump Elementary enjoys a rich history of academic and cultural excellence that is a result of a collegial relationship between the school staff and parents who provide a diversity of experiences for our students. My focus this year is to enhance an environment that will result in academic achievement for our students.  I am truly honored to be appointed to this position and am looking forward to working with the dedicated staff to provide the best possible educational program for our students.

I have been at Crump Elementary School as an Assistant Principal since 2006.  My professional career has been with Memphis City Schools/Shelby County Schools for many years. I held the positions of teacher, instructional facilitator, assistant principal, and adjunct professor.  I am very excited to be a part of the Crump Elementary family and to closely work with all of you to make our school even better.

My greatest initiative is to provide the leadership that will facilitate a school environment which will provide differentiated instructions that meets the needs of each student to the best of our ability.  The educational program must be academically challenging and engaging to every student by linking the curriculum to previous knowledge and experience, and also be exciting to promote further exploration of new ideas.

Through a close and collegial partnership with everyone associated with Crump Elementary, I am confident we can make our school an even better place for our students to learn and grow academically, emotionally, and socially. Please join me in making Crump Elementary School the best turn around school in our system.
