Why We Cherish our Adopters and Other

Community Partners...

Alan Bolton

  • Alan Bolton from Home Depot gives us ongoing advice on when to plant and what to plant that will grow even without care - Knockout Roses grow even if you have purple thumbs!

Aldersgate United Methodist Church:

  • Cooked hot breakfast for teachers TWICE during registration week
  • Prepared and delivered dinner to our teachers on our very long registration day
  • Invited our staff into their sanctuary for a special service on August 17th and provided a wonderful luncheon afterwards
  • Collected "a ton" of school supplies to help our students start the year with pencils, crayons, paper and more

CBRE Richard Ellis

  • Cleaned and mulched our flower beds and planted marigolds for the opening of school

Cherokee Baptist Church

  • Sponsored a school supply giveaway at Willow Oaks that provided dozens of neighborhood families with school supplies to start the year

Dixon Gallery and Gardens

  • Donated a treasure trove of art supplies to our teachers
  • Provided our kindergarten students with dozens of daffodil bulbs which they planted in our gardens
  • Cultivate an early appreciation of art and nature through multiple Dixon experiences for our kindergarten and first grade students each year

Girl Scout Troop 10186

  • Adopted a kindergarten classroom and provided dozens of library books for young students
  • Planted flowers in pots all around the school

White Station Church of Christ

  • Built outdoor picnic tables enabling teachers to plan outdoor classroom experiences
  • Gave our school signs a new fresh appearance by scraping and repainting the metal signs at Dearing and Cherry
  • Cleaned our campus along with Colonial, Overton and the surrounding neighborhood by collecting litter and debris during their Jesus Loves Memphis community service project
  • Used high pressure washers to remove graffiti from several homes in our neighborhood

Fed Ex Sales Provides Uniforms! Thank You!!!

Willow Oaks gratefully acknowledges the support of our friends at Fed Ex Corporation led by Mrs. Kenya Sturkey who provided dozens of uniforms for our students this year.  We are deeply appreciative of their willingness to help us meet the needs of our students so that they can fully focus on academic success.

Aldersgate Methodist Church helped Willow Oaks

students by providing backpacks!
