PERSONAL COMPUTING BE262
GRADES 11, 12
PERSONAL COMPUTING explores the development and application
of microcomputers in today's information-based society.
Hands-on experience with database, word processing, and
spreadsheet programs will be required. Students will be
required to purchase or provide two (2) floppy diskettes
(approximate cost $4.00).

SOFTWARE TOOLS BE272 GRADES
11, 12
SOFTWARE TOOLS extends the use of microcomputers for
business and personal use. Units of study in which students
will be engaged are integrated software, telecommunications,
desktop publishing, graphics, sound, and computer ethics.
Students are required to purchase or provide 2 diskettes
(approximate cost $4.00).
PREREQUISITE - Personal Computing Credit 1/2
BASIC PROGRAMMING BE361 GRADES
11, 12
BASIC PROGRAMMING I AND II include introduction to computer
programming using BASIC or similar high-level lanaguage.
Students study the history of the computer and learn to
write structured computer programs to solve assigned
problems. Topics include variable types, methods of program
data entry, sorting algorithms, sequential and random access
files, and graphics. Students must enroll in both semesters
to take this course. *BASIC Programming I and II are
elective courses and may NOT be used to fulfill the two-year
state math/science requirement. Each course carries one-half
credit per semester. This class will be offered on an
alternating basis with PASCAL.
PREREQUISITES - Algebra I with a minimum grade of 82; Credit
1/2
Enrollment in Algebra II or Geometry
COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY PASCAL I/PASCAL II
CP453/CP454 GRADE 11, 12
COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY PASCAL I/PASCAL II is an introduction to
computer programming using the high-level language of
PASCAL. Additional instruction in file manipulation,
searching techniques, Boolean Algebra may be included.
PASCAL I/PASCAL II are elective courses and may NOT be used
to fulfill the two year state math science requirement.
Students must enroll in both semesters to take this course.
Each course carries one-half credit per semester. This class
will be offered on an alternating basis with BASIC..
PREREQUISISTES - Algebra I, with a minimum grade of 82
