Thank you for taking the time to visit our website!  We are very proud of Houston High School and its many accomplishments.  Since its inception in 1989, Houston High has quickly made a name for itself.  We are proud of all our programs, as we can truly say that we excel in academics, arts, and athletics.  Our test scores consistently rank at the top in Shelby County, and above the state and national norms.  In 2006 we had students with perfect scores on the ACT and the SAT. The class of 2006 earned over 9 million dollars in scholarships.  Our choir, band, and visual arts programs, have garnered national awards and really do some amazing things.  Houston High School has won the Best of the Preps award for best overall athletic program for the last nine years.  Our clubs and service organizations are well known throughout this area for the many things they do for the community.  I feel very comfortable in saying that our school really does offer something for everyone.  If you have any questions please feel free to call me, and thanks again for your interest in our school.
