begin to surf. There are numerous quality resources available on the
Internet providing online introductions and navigational experiences
for the new surfer. Students should also be prepared for safe surfing.

Daily Information Updates
Many projects require continuous up-to-date information. The Internet
is the best way to quickly obtain current weather, news, stock prices,
election results, sports scores, etc. It takes only a few minutes for a
student to check weather for a specific location each day, to read
newspaper accounts of the same story in newspapers around the world, or
to track election results across the United States or in foreign
countries. The projects and assignments possible with this type of
current data are limitless.

answer? You thought, if I only had an expert available. With the
Internet, an expert in virtually any subject is at your fingertips.
There are many web sites available where you can submit a question and
get an answer quickly. In order to use these “Ask an Expert” sites, you
must have an e-mail address.

Sponge Activities:
One of the most valuable uses of the Internet is to increase the amount
and quality of resources readily available. Many sites on the Internet
provide supplementary learning opportunities that make lessons more
varied and engaging for the individual learner. Many sites provide
either a daily or weekly activity which can be used for enrichment or
as a jumping off point for instruction.
