The vision of Mt. Pisgah Middle School is for our students to become informed, productive citizens who can communicate effectively in a diverse, technological and global society. Our school seeks the cooperation and collaboration of all its stakeholders in the pursuit of our vision.
The
core mission of Mt. Pisgah Middle School faculty, staff, parents,
students and community is to provide the caliber of educational
opportunities and experiences that ensure our diverse student
population will achieve intellectually, socially, physically,
emotionally, and morally. Our goal is to ensure that our students
meet mandated criteria amid become effective communicators, problem-solvers,
and productive citizens in an increasingly technological society.
We
believe:
1.
Students will master the skills required for effective oral and
written communication.
2.
Student assessment data will be used to differentiate instruction
to meet the diverse needs of all students.
3.
Students will develop and utilize correct technology skills.
4.
Students will make both academic and behavioral gains as they
are challenged daily with high expectations and researched-based
strategies.
5.
Students will engage in learning activities that will provide
a greater appreciation for language arts, mathematics, science,
social studies, health and wellness, and the performing and fine
arts.
6.
Students' self-image will be enhanced by developing positive relationships,
cooperative behavior, knowledge of and sensitivity to multicultural
needs, and mutual respect among students and the school community.
7.
Administrators, staff, parents and community will work together
in the decision-making process to provide a cooperative, positive,
and safe learning environment for students.
8.
All administrators, faculty, and staff will adhere to district,
state and federal policies.
